So one day I got bored of having a bookmark list 5 pages long just for things I’d found whilst surfing the net that I thought were cool ideas for the kids. I also wasn’t keen on the 100+ RSS feeds I had on Bloglines that were used to find all these pages in the first place.

I longed for a site that sat somewhere between Wired’s Geekdad blog and the Parent Hacks blog. Both sides took their niche that little bit further than either my interest or my brain would go so from that frustration this place was born. I’m a geek at heart but I can only go so far before my brain starts to seize up as it tries to comprehend some of the more extreme posts on Geekdad and whilst the main focus of this site won’t actually be about parenting there will certainly be some Parenthack style content in there.

So a little about me. Three kids between 6 years and 9 months makes life fun every waking, and sleeping, moment of the day. Add in 3 cats, a dog, a myriad of tropical fish and handful of chickens and you’e got a busy household. My wife and I spend most of what spare time we have somewhere on the net so where better to put something like this.
